Hi

To those not aware threaded archives of the list from May 1999 are
available at:

http://archiver.rootsweb.com/WESSEX-PLUS/index.php3

You may have to set up a user name and password before you can gain
access. This allows you to do a keyword search, on a surname or place
for example.

Once you have found an entry which matches your search, a link
(thread) is provided to the replies so you can follow the discussion
through, alternatively a list of message subjects is also available
for each month.

To those who write to the list frequently and pack their signatures
with names they are looking for, this brings into focus the fact that
this can sometimes have a negative result for your research - try a
name search and of course you'll see why!

In addition it is possible to do a word search of the Wessex List
Archives from:

http://searches.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/listsearch.pl

Select Wessex-Plus then enter - unfortunately this is only available
on messages sent to the list from this month ie Jan 2000.
